Deputy
Mayor Rocky Chavez
has demonstrated exemplary leadership on countless issues of importance to Oceanside.
His work on our behalf has made our city a better and safer place to live and
work.
Whether
it was opposing all new taxes, putting more police on the streets or working to
revitalize our downtown, Rocky Chavez has always put action before words.
Now
more than ever, we need a leader we can trust to put Oceanside on the path of
fiscal responsibility and sound long-range planning. That leader is Rocky Chavez.
Keeping Our Neighborhoods
Safe - has always been Rocky
Chavez's number one priority. He fought to put more police officers on the streets
without increasing our taxes. He will continue to work with others in bringing
additional resources into our community to fight crime.
Building a Better Community
- Rocky understands that our downtown is immensely important in determining the
image of our city. That is why he has worked to bring the right blend of new businesses
to our community.
A Higher Quality of Life
Sustaining and keeping our beaches clean and safe, building the San Luis River
Bike Trail, working for train "quiet zones", improving our parks and reducing
traffic congestion - Rocky has worked tirelessly to make our neighborhoods better
places to live.
